September 2024 Newsletter

September Newsletter is here just to let you know that I as of now opened up for more availability by working full time in my Private Practice, and I’m happy to welcome you into my new office in central Linkoping!

Like before I’m happy seeing you online or in person depending on where on the planet you are.

Last week I was assisting the Somatic Experiencing® Training in Stockholm, the students now in their last part of their Intermediate year. It is such a privilege to support and to yet again hear the teachings, this time from the brilliant teacher Kavi Alessandro Gemin.

If you are curious about the training there are still spots left for the training starting in January 2025, you can read more about it here.

I realize I appreciate the seasons for many different reasons, and from a nervous system perspective (I know, I’m a bit nerdish…) I think it supports us to handle change! Living in a part of the world that have 4 seasons, shows us over and over again that change is part of the natural cycle of things and change is part of life.
At this time of the year, I like to look back at the summer months with gratitude, for giving me time to swim in the lakes, play outside and stay up all night lightly dressed with warmth and light accompanying me.

And just suddenly, when temperature drops and the air start to get crispier in the mornings, I feel I’m ready to embrace the autumn by enjoying the shifts in colors outside ,and also getting cozy inside with hot tea, a good book and my crochet…

Wishing you a gentle transitioning from summer to autumn with this beautiful poem by Robert Louis Stevenson;

Autumn Fires
In the other gardens
And all up in the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
   See the smoke trail!

Pleasant summer over,
   And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
   The grey smoke towers.

Sing a song of seasons!
   Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
   Fires in the fall!

With gratitude,

Helena
