December 2024 Newsletter

With Christmas and New Year’s Holiday’s coming up, from the depth of my heart I would like to wish You All The Best, wherever you’re at!

I always hesitate to use the words “happy” or “merry” because I know that’s far from the reality for many. I choose instead to send warm thoughts of love, gratitude and good health your way.

Many things have fallen into place for me this year.  My business is growing, and I love so much to be able to do what I love the most, supporting others in their own healing journey.

Next year I’ll continue to assist the students in the Somatic Experiencing® training, now in their advanced year. I’ll also occasionally go to Norway to work as a nurse in this small hospital on the Norwegian westcoast – something I’ve done now for 17 years!

My intention for 2025 is to keep a balance between work and my personal time where I hope to spend a lot of time in nature, no matter the season. I’d love to go for a longer hike also this year so I’m opening up for doing so, maybe next autumn…

I’m also looking forward to spend time with family and friends and deepen the relationships I have as well as welcoming new people into my life. Just recently my first grandchild was born and I’m excited and grateful to be able to watch her grow and get to know her ❤️

To find balance and to check in with my own needs I need time in silence and contemplation. I get that through meditation and through my daily walks. And if anything feels slightly off, a spontaneous dance on my own in the kitchen, usually shifts my mood!

Ending with a beautiful quote from John O’Donohue on solitude  – with hopes that You’ll find solitude, peace and joy for the time to come;

“Solitude is one of the most precious things in the human spirit.
It is different from loneliness. When you are lonely,
you become acutely conscious of your own separation.

Solitude can be a homecoming to your own deepest belonging.
One of the lovely things about us as individuals is the incommensurable in us.
 In each person, there is a point of absolute nonconnection with everything else and with everyone.

This is fascinating and frightening. It means that we cannot continue to seek outside ourselves for things we need from within.
The blessings for which we hunger are not to be found in other places or people. These gifts can only be given to you by yourself.

They are at home at the hearth of your soul.”

 With gratitude and love,

Helena
