June 2021 Newsletter
Sommer has arrived and I feel more at ease being able to spend more time outside and continue fixing things in the garden – a never ending job I suppose!
And, my work brings me so much richness and I’m so grateful to be able to do what I love most; meeting people wherever they are, brave and willing to share a bit of their life journey with me.
In my latest blog post I share some thoughts that came to me watching an inspiring tree on an early walk the other day, and I choose to share my blog here with you: https://helenaswanstrom.com/me-like-a-trees-journey-to-the-sky/
The metafor using the tree could also be described by another element in nature, water. I find this poem by Kahlil Gibran so beautiful;
The river cannot go back
It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.
She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.
And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.
But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.
Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.
The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.
Wishing You a beautiful summer 🦋
